Joining Meetings in Zoom directly from Browser
Join Zoom Meetings directly from Browser for your WordPress site is now possible. I have just released a new update version tagged 3.2.0 which allows your users to join meetings directly from your website without needing to download Zoom App. Please note: This is still in Testing phase for the plugin. So, let me know if there are any issues with this.
Install Video Conferencing with Zoom WordPress plugin
How does this work ?
If you have used Integration with Zoom Meetings for WordPress before then you already know that to join meetings you would need to download Zoom App or Goto their website to Join. This feature from zoom.us it allows you to join without needing to redirect to Zoom Website or zoom app. In General, you can directly join from browser.
In above screenshot you will see an option to Join via Web Browser option which would allow your users to join via web browser. Check below on what you will see after joining.
This above screenshot is the example of joining a meeting directly from your browser.
Turn off when not needed
You can disable join via browser link by selecting a checkbox in your meetings page when you create a certain meeting.
Browser Compatibility
This list is directly fetched from Zoom side.

Check WooCommerce Integration if you need to Integrate Zoom Meetings into WooCommerce. This wraps up for the changes in version 3.2.0
Is this feature on? I’m a little bit confused. In my meeting this button redirects to the Zoom website. Is it temporary?
Are you using https://wordpress.org/plugins/video-conferencing-with-zoom-api/ this plugin ?
Even though meeting has started and appears in zoom window, WordPress meeting details page still shows countdown continuing. Waiting for countdown to end and see what happens. Okay, on Host PC countdown disappeared and Meeting is starting message appeared. On guest iPad, Meeting has started/ended shows but still no response to Join with browser. I am assuming joining a meeting that is bound to my site requires no password in which case an option to remove the ‘join via zoom app’ button should be available as I believe that form of join will expect a password.
After countdown has ended it will show ended or started message.
OK, I can get a listing of meetings created with ‘ADD NEW’ but cannot join via Browser, no noticeable response and joining via zoom app gives error: cannot open page address is invlid which then disappears and shows zoom page: your meeting should start in a few seconds. Nothing happens but meeting is started and cam is visible etc. Hosting via PC and guesting via iPad
Hi, I am trying to implement your plugin but I am probably doing something wrong as it does not appear to work as I would expect. I have a page into which I inserted [zoom_api_link meeting_id=’nnn’ link_only=’no’] and when opened the page shows: id, topic, status=STARTED, plus other stuff and buttons for join with Zoom or join from browser. (I think I have seen a different shortcode to provide a list of meetings which is what I would hope to use.) I then Click Join with browser and Zoom page shows Meeting has NOT started. The meeting was created by Add new meeting which I understand is bound to my site. I have tried going through Zoom but I need a password and cannot find it. What I was hoping would happen is:
– add meetings
– have page showing meetings and status (started, not started etc) plus option for host to start
– user logs in to my site, goes to list of meetings page
– option to hide join from Zoom which I believe will require a password for the meeting (which I can’t find)
– selects meeting with join from browser and joins meeting with countdown showing if not yet started
– meeting host starts meeting
I was also hoping there would be no need for a meeting password. however, if I wanted allow join from zoom I would hope that I could retrieve the password to give to the user. The problems are probably mine being a fairly new user of zoom and WordPress.
A final question about zoom api. When I created the API keys there was an expiry date. Does this mean I have to get new keys when they expire? Should I use a long expiry time? If they expire, can I still start a meeting created with the expired keys before getting new keys?
Hope you can offer some advice.
Is it possible to get support? It is not working for me. I cant submit your contact form.
